Prince, Perez Hilton's quote of the day!

Looks like the "I don't vote" comment may be taking off:

I love that these people hang on to every word that Prince says! They criticize him for being elusive and when he Does open up they keep his comments going for weeks and weeks.....trust me he knows how to keep them interested.

Dude, to each his own. If he doesn't vote, he doesn't vote. What are you so up in arms about? I live in a country(Antigua), where I've been for the last 14 years and I don't vote either. I am a citizen and have the right to but chose not to. That being said, I will be voting for Obama in November, but just like the abortion issue, Prince has a right to his choice. Don't knock him for it. He's a JW.

As a JW he doesn't vote, none of them do. Oprah doesn't vote and she's not a JW - go after HER.

I know I'm probably going to piss alot of people off on here, but I find it funny when I see people commenting that he should feel oligated to vote because he is an American or because he's a African-American,and Obama is running. That is the wonder of living in a free country, you aren't really obligated to do anything, voting is a choice not a requirement. I myself do not vote,I am not a JW or of any religion,I just have never cared for anyone that has run for office,so I figure, why vote when I don't like either one of them? Some say it's about determining which is the lesser of the two evils, well I don't seriously see how that is possible, because when you are trying to convince a nation to choose you,you will pretty much say what you think the nation wants to hear. You all know I'm right about that, because I am sure that there is alot that Bush promised to do for this country when he was running, but as soon as he got the job,all that was forgotten. Just my opinion.

But that's a part of his beliefs. right or wrong. Who are we to judge that? It's his life. No more or less.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Last time i voted was about 10 years ago no one is obliged to vote its each to there own the polititians are all the same and just cause a black guy may win does not mean prince has to support him

What does it matter if somebody chooses not to vote? If the population was 10 people and 1 person decided not to vote, the winner would still only need the majority share of votes. So, what's the problem? Is it because Prince's unused vote could go towards getting the guy YOU want in power elected. Tough shit.

Why is it important to vote?

Look at the last 8 years!

From being the greatest country in world to being in the mess we are today!

8 years ago we had were on our way to eliminate the national debt, we were second to no other country.

Now look at us!
If you’re with the status quo, then fine don’t vote, or vote republican again.

If you want something else, then please vote!

I think it’s really a big deal this time around, the country is in bad shape and it’s up to us to change that, we got to quit being lazy and do something.

If you think that your vote doesn’t matter, then look at the evangelicals, they thought it was time for change and they became a force to be reckoned with and voted Bush into office, now we got to get together and say that’s it, enough is enough.
Wrong forum I know, but it’s critical this time around.

I agree with everything you said.Voting is extremely important! It should not be taken lightly.Look at what's happening in America right now....the Wall Street mess, the never-ending war,the lousy economy and possible recession. This election is too damn important to ignore! Every American should be out there voting on election day.

I hate the phrase "lesser of two evils" because it implies that both candiates are horrible people who would do horrible things to the country. That's certainly not the case in this election.Seriously, what's so "evil" about ending a senseless war that has dragged on for many years? What's so "evil" about fixing the health care crisis? What's so "evil" about fiscal responsibility?

I feel like,if you don't vote, then you have no right to complain about how things are going. Not voting means that you are satisfied with how things are going.Throughout his whole life,Prince has taken an anti-war stance so I KNOW that he can't possibly be happy with the senseless,never-ending war that we are fighting. The only way to end it is to elect the right person, and you can only do that by VOTING!
