Our Prince live and breaths music. He will keep making it till the end of time. When you aks if he will shock you mean will he go back to his former persona and antics. I dont think he will do that. I hear the song mentioned "turn me loose" as something shocking? I do not know about this song?

I do think he has grown and matured to a man who wants peace and love of God above all else. When you do arrive at that place in your heart you cannot go back. If you do, your life swings in circles of repitition not evolving or changing or growing any longer. Enlightenment is movement forward and into higher consciousness. I believe he is enlightened or is on his way there.

I think whatever music is coming to us will be a gift, it will be received by me with open arms and open heart. He writes so beautifully and plays as an angel. Good music wil come from him that is one thing we can all count on in this world we live in. Peace and love.

Depends on what you find shocking these days. It makes me cringe when he tries so hard to be shocking these days ( whether it´s in the lyrics department, like in Hot Wit U and its snowballing/sperm references, or other ambiguous lyrics, or his stage antics...it simply doesn´t come off as raw as in the 80s and makes him look corny), while at the same time butchering classics like When U Were Mine or DMSR or Gett Off.
The most shocking thing , in a positive way, would be if he rediscovered his real qualities, or better yet, the quality of his old music.
The last shocking thing he did, IMO, was when he fucked up his old classics royally during the 21 Nites shows.I mean, teasing the audience with just sample snippets of his best songs, and taking it to the next level by pounding on those keys generating a cacaphony of unimaginative drum sounds on that sampler keyboard....what the fuck ? When Doves Cry, She´s Always In My Hair,and the list goes on....I mean, why fuck up such beautiful music, why disrespect your own legacy and insult the intelligence and taste of your most loyal fans ?

I didn´t get that, even though I really enjoyed the shows I went to. But this self sabotage thing is totally beyond me and TRULY shocking.

If I could, I would like to travel back in time and take A LOT of live, bootleg and officially released material with me and make the Prince of 1982-88 listen to it just to see his face.
