In 1999/2001 we could have had 6 new albums

If prince didn't mess up with Wendy & Lisa back then, 'Roadhouse garden' would've also shown up, making 1999 a great year:

Roadhouse Garden, Prince And The Revolution (in spring)
The Vault - old friends 4 sale, Prince (summer)
Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic, prince (autumn)

And if he didn't change his mind about 'Crystal Ball Vol.2' and 'High', 2000/01 would have been like this:

2000

Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic, prince (spring)
Crystal Ball Vol.2, prince (whenever)

2001

High, Prince (first half of the year)
The Rainbow Children, Prince (october)

instead what we got was:

rave un2 the joy fantastic
the vault
rave un2 the joy fantastic
chocolate invasion
slaughterhouse
the rainbow children

plus an album's worth of unreleased/non album tunes
[when will we b paid, my medallion, one song, jukebox with a heartbeat etc]

i'm counting 7 biggrin

it is a real shame about roadhouse garden though, i'm still pout over that one
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

U shouldn't count 'Rave In2' (I would count 7 too, otherwise).

Besides, 'Crystal Ball Vol.2' and 'Roadhouse garden' never showed up so, as far as I can appreciate the NPGMC songs, it's not the same.

More or less the same as in 'The chocolate invasion' and 'The slaughterhouse', with some slight differences, and even if some songs didn't make the two compilations, I wouldn't consider the amount of those recordings a proper album.

I haven't heard "Chocolate Invasion," or "Slaughterhouse,"...But the music that Prince had those years kept me company.

My thoughts exactly shrug

The only two albums I own from that period are Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic and The Rainbow Children.

The first gets a bad rap and have heard its his worst release ever when it came to sales.
The second... to me doesn't scream Prince confused

Shoulda, woulda, coulda... u can't change the past. I'm just glad this isn't one of those posts that directly attacks Prince for the decisions he made. Seen far too many of those whew
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone
