There was a big event that was supported (or put on) by Ali and President Clinton in Cali but Prince was suppose to perform but he didn't make it because he hurt his foot. He talked about his foot injury when he was interviewed by Tavis Smiley in 1998.

These pictures were taken at the white house I believe. ..... "Muhammad Ali World Healing Project" ....that's what it was called....

And him standing on an expensive chair of the White house, he must have gotten a warning. He could make holes in the chair.

World Healing Concert Postponed

The World Healing Project, the much talked about benefit concert created by the Artist and Muhammad Ali, has been postponed. The event, which was to take place tonight at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, was to feature performances by the Artist, Celine Dion, Sheryl Crow, LL Cool J, Lenny Kravitz and more. |

The Artist and the Champ came together not to throw punches at each other, but to help knock out bigotry and hatred. At first, the show did not have the backing it needed from television, but a network changed its mind at the last minute. After that, a large cable network also said they were interested in broadcasting the event, but Kym Norsworthy, a spokeswoman for the event, said she couldn't comment on who either network was because "they are still working out those details. What it really comes down to is who has the capabilities to handle the show," Norsworthy said.

The date for the event has been pushed back to make it an even better show, Norsworthy said. "More performers will most likely want to be a part of the concert now that it will have a high profile TV deal," Norsworthy said.

Will the artists presently scheduled to perform make it to the new event? "That all depends on the date and what their schedules will allow," Norsworthy said.

Although a new date hasn't been chosen, the World Healing Concert will most likely take place sometime in early 1998, but it might not be at the Shrine, according to Norsworthy. Stay tuned to JAMTV for more details as they unfold. (Ari Bendersky)

It doesn't mention anything about him getting hurt but he did....I am 99.9999% sure thus the reason for it being canceled. I am going off the top of the dome but I a pretty sure.... + like I said...he talks about it on Tavis.
