Did any one see this...I don't know which show exactly it was from, but the guy interviewing mentions 9/11 and P quiclky says she needs to leave as show was about to start...was this a cop out from answering the question ?

Yes, I saw that interview, he was very pleasant about it though, he could hear The Time warming up, and he had to get back there!

Yes i posted this question before aswell, its on the purple doves interviews dvd, i wondered why he didn't answer this question, i found it a little odd and would like to know why this made him leave the interview!

are you sure his excuse wasn't genuine, he did and actually go and rehearse, i belive the band jammed on "footprints"

Probably was not the time or place prior to his performance to ask that.

what surprised me was how he implied he might get in2 trouble should he be late 4 the rehearsal! he kinda pulls a face & says he's gotta be there, or else they'd be gone..

Prince has always been VERY hip to world politics - several interviewers over the years have commented on his blow-by-blow knowledge of world events. However, I think it was pretty obvious that he was dodging the interviewer's question. I don't blame him. It was a bad and trite question (imo), and there is no way to answer it without alienating some people - and his goal with Musicology was to secure his legacy, not to step on toes.
