Tom

If you want to hear the Foo Fighter's cover of Darling Nikki, here you go...

I recorded it from a 56k stream so please pardon the sound quality.

I will only leave this up for a short time.

Enjoy wink

Tom, you ROCK!!! I liked it, especially the guitar parts/breaks, whatever you call them - what are they called? LOL

His vocal is a bit stiff @ times, but you gotta love that he tried to stay true to P's delivery - he even said "but me body will never be the same"... mr.green

woot! the Fighters of Foo woot!

Now I really wanna hear that Drive Me Wild cover!
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

They made it available to listen to on their web site in a "secret" section. However in order to hear it you must have their latest album in your drive and install the CDKey plugin when prompted (as described in another post on the Foos).

The software tries to keep you from being able to record the music as well, but this little program called Advanced Recording Wizard nicely captures any sound passing through your sound card. wink

Much thanks for the link! I tried recording it with SoundForge, but it sounded horrible. Where'd you get the "Advanced Recording Wizard"?

yeah thanks tom

but the cover is an absolute shocker
not like I expected any better from the foo fighters though...all they've done is replaced all that is innovative and funky about prince's song with boring distorted guitar...how can people get excited about this shit?
