I bought it online a few years ago. I'm not into rap music much and I love this CD.
It's Jay Z's "Black Album" lyrics over Purple Rain music. Trust me, it works out much better than you think. Some of the music is sped up/slowed down or remixed to match the lyric tempo, but it still works. The original website that was selling it isn't there anymore (imagine that) but you could probably find it on Amazon or just Google. This CD was modeled after the highly successful "Grey Album" which is Jay Z's "Black Album" over The Beatles "White Album" music. That project was done by Dangermouse. |

P4TM [Edited 8/9/08 23:44pm] Sounds to me like they took the drum track from The Beautiful Ones, distorted it heavily, stripped away the piano, and added back in some "Prince-like" guitar and synth. This is one they kinda "cheated" on; it doesn't work as well as some of the others, but they make up for it. |
