Something like Rave. For real.
Instead it would be artists that.. are artists.. like a track with EWF, one with Stevie Wonder, and other classic rock/pop acts. Yeah, Prince can do it all alone, but why not?  At this point in history, we have a choice to make

An album that I can play again and again and again and never get bored of playing. An album where it's Prince being just Prince, no matter what the genre is and hopefully have some lyrics that we can ALL dig and not have us divided. [Edited 8/20/08 7:06am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

Authentic, not like he's trying to win friends and influence people. It's gotta make him happy without a thought of what the fans think. It is impossible for Prince to please us all. The only thing that actually is possible is gratifying himself. That's what has made his music so infectious. It was clear that this man was in an orgiastic state of satisfaction with what he was creating, folks keyed into it, and wanted to be a part of it.
Really, he's gotta make music if he had no fans - just as he did in the beginning. I think that 50 year old Prince oughta sit down with 21 year old Prince and find out what he thinks the next album ought to sound like. Wouldn't that be an interesting conversation? | |
