I watched "Purple Rain," with an eleven year old.

I watched "Purple Rain," with an eleven year old.

Last night, I got out the VCR...and took an eleven year old boy on a Prince music lesson. This boy called Prince a pretty boy on a regular basis.

When the movie was over, he apologized for ever having called Prince names. He said that he shouldn't have judged Prince, cuz' after seeing "Purple Rain," he thinks that Prince is cool, and that he loved the movie.

I fast forwarded through the sex scene, I told him he could borrow the tape when he was 17. cool

You're mean.

Wow! there's psychologics at the org! Anyway, never been proof that you can mentally damage anyone by watching a single tv show, a single comic, a single book or a single movie, unleast that movie is "The Sound Of Music" or "Forrest Gump" etc.

I saw "Purple Rain" at twelve and i think it help me mature.

I watched it with my 9 year old brother.

When it got to the part where Apples strips at the lake he goes "Should I cover up my eyes?".. All I said was "No, I'm not Mum." lol

neutral I wish I said no because now all he watches the movie all the time, I'm sick of it!

ple

my cousin asked me if Prince was a boy or a girl when he was seven...I think he saw a music video or something...then when my other cousin was 6 he already knew Prince was a boy and was more interested with how good he could dance and cool his "cricle" outfit was from SOTT lol
I think I can mold my second cousin into a Prince fan evillol the first one is too far gone eek lol
I saw the edited version of PR when I was 8 and I loved it.I loved it so much that when I was 12 I rented it from Block Busters...I was thoroughly shocked at the scenes I had never seen and it DEFINITELY helped grow me up and well...now Im here giggle

I was young myself when PR came out, my parents used to INVITE people over and we would watch it over and over again(we played it through the stereo). Yes even the sex part and even the Darling Nikki part. Kids see worse on daytime/night time television hell even in movies these days so really I see nothing wrong with letting a 11 year old watching Purple Rain.
