But some people just dont WANT to let go BTW HI psy dear i understand it 2 a degree since i can't let go of the notions that prince used 2 do a tour supporting his newer material instead of 90% greatest hits 5% covers and the last 5% on his NEW material and not 2 mention i can't let go of the notion of 1994-early 1996 where proclaimed prince was dead and he's only going 2 do nothing but new music live man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Hey Dr. Fink you were a part of Prince's most creative amd imaginative peroid in his life. From the early Prince album to Lovesexy. Did you know from the beginning that Prince would become an extraordinary artist? Did Prince have a game plan from DIRTY MIND and on? I still think you were Prince's best keyboardist a long with Lisa. U and her were a faboulous one/two combination. That Lovesexy/sign band was his best of all time!!! BOB4theFUNK

Nostalgia is good, sometimes. Yes it is, but only in small doses, otherwise it means living in the past.....

It would have been best if it happened in 2006, when 3121 (the other number album) was released.

A new CD, new songs and a full fledged reunion tour?..No.

Think of it this way, there's a group of six very talented people out there who made a very impressive mark on music (and film) history. All of them have taken the experience and made their own lives out of it. I don't think there's an "expiration date" on that kind of chemistry, do you?
I personally think a reunion is likely to happen at some point. I think it could end up being "The Dark Knight" of concert tours, breaking records and growing bigger as it goes based on word of mouth. I've read comments about Prince not wanting to "go back", which I find kind of funny. Take a look at his set lists. You know what's more exciting to me than the thought of a Revolution tour? The new music that would come from that group of people jamming with each other. Anyway, I speculate.

The new music that would come from that group of people jamming with each other. Anyway, I speculate. yes the xpiration date was 1986 and i agree with u about his set list and i will say it again, it's TIME 2 LET THAT GO!!! the media, his fans keep him in the past tho ..let him b the person and most importantly the artist he was born 2 b, free with no restrictions. so if u happen 2 c him live and he doesn't play ur favorite song from the 80's, so what? there is a lot of music stored away that hasn't seen the light of day and it's time 4 that material 2 have it's day in the sun, not some past glory efforts. man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Hew that's great that you like the NPG. No need for this disccusion to get heated.
I myself will never forget how it felt to witness Prince and the Revolution back in the day. Watching any live video footage from of them still give me goosebumps. The absolute originality of it, the electro and the New Wave. The chemistry of the band. 1979 through Sign O'the Times is WHY I'm a Prince fan. I'm with ?uestlove who says that The Revolution was the last great band. Still exiting to me to this day. Matt Mark Bobby Wendy Lisa & Prince 4-Ever!
