Sinead was on Oprah sometime in the last two years and she admitted that she suffers from bi-polar disorder. Maybe she wasn't on her meds when she told the story. Maybe Prince reacted to her freaking out. They tend to be paranoid and very dramatic when they are off their meds.

I don't know what to make of this story.I mean,we've all heard stories of Prince mistreating his women and of course,we've all seen "Purple Rain"....but this story sounds really strange plus,Sinead is a bit on the crazy side.

All the hating needs to stop. First of all, did Prince never do ANYTHING to get attention? Uh, just his entire career, and Sinead's version of NC2U, may not be some FAMS favourite vs. it was one of the biggest hits of that year and was a critical success to boot. The album that came from is a classic and Sinead is a true artist.

She pushed the boundries of what a woman was allowed to do, say and look like in the 80's, when everyone wanted to be Madonna, she shaved her head and wore Doc Martens. If I know anything about her at all, it is that she never gave a $#&* about what people thought...and as for her being ugly, that is a matter of personal taste, but seems very crass and low to resort to that kind of commenting.THAT"S ugly. I think she's beautiful, but there are people who think Prince is ugly and freaky looking...gasp! were u aware?

I, for one, find it very easy to believe that he did what she said. She has no reason to lie, even to get attention, which is ludicrous, yeah, tell the world one of everyones favourite pop stars and songwriters is a misogynist control freak with anger issues! Doesn't seem so strange now does it? After all these years...back then I didn't want to believe that story. Now I know better.

I am rapidly losing interest in Prince and have lost an anormous amount of respect for him, for many various issues we all are aware of. From religion to the music, to controlling the internet, I'm just bored and over it. His music hasn't evolved, it has regressed. He now is just a very good old skool r&b performer in the mold of James and E W &F, et al...remember when he changed his sound every album, when every new song was a true NEW experience? I'm beginning to think it WAS Wendy & Lisa!!

Sinead rocks! She still pushes the envelope and does her thing, instead of sitting on her laurels, playing her hits in Vegas.

Prince is and always has been DELUSIONAL. Just listening to him speak in interviews in the 80s - he's off with the fairies!

A converation can occur between two people and they both go away thinking different things were said/happened. We will never truly know what happened in that room, we all have ideas and that is fine but to hate on P or Sinead for a supposed act is a little harsh.

I remember reading this in that rag The Enquier. I do think her version of that song was good. Sinead can sing despite her wackiness behaivor. The story too me was just a joke. If it actually happened who knows? No one believes her any way. I would not be surprised if it did though. I do not think she was looking for publicity. The song was already a huge hit for her.
