"Makin' love 'til cherry's gone..." I think I finally get it...!
Cuz Prince went on 2 call the moon cherry, and there4 makin' love 'til cherry's gone he means 'til the moon's gone, in other words daylight.. Makin' love ALL night 'til DAYLIGHT when cherry the moon has gone!!

The muffin thang kinda has yeast association so I'd steer clear o' that.
