with Larry Graham, Maceo Parker and Mavis Staples in some way "pay forward/pay back" for the inspiration, tutalidge (and who knows what else) they or their mentors/associates gave to Prince?

Are U asking, is the friendships between these artist are a sort of, paying back respect or honor? For the what has been learned or taken from their creative abilities. & also asking do we think that these artist may have done something more for 4 P then we may know ? that he feels a need to give back to them ?

If so I guess all this can be true, and if he has really taken alot from them
growing up, watching listening hearing them, it could be a sort of giving/paying back.
However that brings me to the question, of weather he veiws them as friends and Associates as a business level or also personal, friends. Which is none my business but just made me think of that which i'd hadn't b4, thought of.

And well yeah, maybe he's helping them out 2 now. That he's so much a larger then life living musical genius, his self as he may have seen these characters watching them and hearing them. As he was growing up as a young man. and truly wanted to promote them in his work and make sure there was a sort of reconition 2 them, if this all makes sence to what u were asking

I think they are friends as well as associates. Their respective "heights of fame" have passed so they are not necessarily essential to "making" Prince, in the realm of music; however, there might be other intangible things they give to him (spirituality, world "teachings," love). ????

I didn't have a good friend i had some1 that looked good and played the part.
I had some1 that say the right things but in the end when the story was, to be told was only in my life to take, but we all learn and now i'm learning to choose friends better, However this all has nothing to do with this thread, though~ yet as, people when we do find a good friend they are to be held on too. And feed like a flower with all the right touches, and protected in all the right seasons.

And yes being free is not only a state of mind it is a way of life , that one can fully Njoy , true however I have not let a X boyfriend from 2 years ago and a X friend take that joy from me. Cause In the end he's still my friend and yes i believed her over him cause he was the man, and offen women will believe thier female friend 1st, but the truth came out it was confessed. On her part. She had 2 deal with herself and she hurt afterward now losing a friend just to break apart a union between 3 people with untruth and betrayal. Yet I still would treat her with love. If i ran in2 her, or if she ever really needed a hand, but in the end, being close agin just won't happen.

Like when younger people look up to elders of the church/ or like a type of God parents/ they are much older then P. And also they could be vauled as family more then just friends ~
