RealMusician

The "trippy" feeling of this track is very much due to the use of poly-tonality - meaning several different keys going on simultaneously.

Prince has used this technique a number of times, but it's really a very rare phenomenon in pop music.

I read in DMSR that it was supposed to be in 1999, but the record label replaced it with All The Critics Love You In NY.

Come to think of it(and ya'll welcome to correct me if I'm mistaken) hmmm

It was part of the official 1999 tracklist among:

Extra Loveable
No Call U
Moonbeam Level(A Place To Die)
Baby You're A Trip(And & A 1/2).

As we can see, the tracklist got shortened disbelief BIIIIG bitch move.

wasn't turn it up supposed 2 b on it as well? cause it seemed like a term prince was using a lot back in those days
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
