looking back, it seemed like each "era" had a complete look, feel, and esscence (sic) about it. seeming to last for about 2-3 years, but it only lasted about 1 year, IF that long.

watching some PARADE concert footage, that look and style was completely different from all hsi previous eras. It was more cleaned up, less hokey. More laid back yet elegant. and who knew at the VERY SAME TIME he was creating the songs and the era for SOTT. the world had NO IDEA wat he was cooking up to occur a year later.

He just proved so ahead of his time. I wondered if he planned it that way all along.

Ithink from whats missing now is is that he doesnt have "eras" anymore.stars back then had a certain look and vibe for a certain space and time, thereby making it a movement of sorts....

His hair from the Purple Rain era.....so hot....curly or straight, long hair looks soooo good on him.....curly is the best!!!

The Most Amazing/Coolest thing about prince is his body of work through out his musical career.

The Ballads.....I got married with adore playing over and over...he never gets enough recognition for the emotion laden , heart wrenching , child making! ballads

I reckon its Prince's speaking voice, omg its so sexy! I love to hear him talk

Oh yeah, I love his creativity when it comes to his image too.

U have to consider that he was rather young in the '80s and that was an era in which he was researching more then ever.
The top of that search was the name change and after that, in 2001, he was complete. Well, not so complete, 'cuz he kept changing and experimenting in music. His search has just slowed down a little, even if he seems enjoying his time now.

But it's okay, he did a lot for us.

But I appreciate his talent and his uniqueness as an artist. It's one of the reasons I adore himso much, If he wa slike every other singer in jeans and sneaks, I wouldn't care at all about him. But he makes you notice him. And I like people that have the guts to stick out.
