when you were mine you were all i ever wanted to do,now i spend my time,following him whenever he's with you... i could never take the place is pop rock gem with diffrent kind of subject almoust social so i think those two can't compare but still my vote goes to when you were mine  | |

Both songs are great. But When You Were Mine is, quite simply, one of my favorite songs ever, by anyone. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

When you were mine. Its strong lyrically.
This line is made of gold. "I didn't care. I never was the kind to make a fuss when he was there sleeping in between the two of us" Ouch! That line just hurts even me. "I love you more than I did when you were mine" Same with this one. | |
