PrintableAs far as taking lyrics, seriously goes...that is why I had started another post on Prince's song, "An Honest Man," because Prince declares, that honest is what he wants to be."
So if you believe that Prince is honest, through the years, and I do, in a toned down, musically creative kind of way....Than his music prompts you to wonder about his heart's concerns. Why would we have so many discussions on what his favorite this or that is....when there are topic's of discussion right there in the music? Prince is kind of a parable song writer...He lures us, into curiosity. Clever. He is. And if Prince thinks that what he's done, isn't gonna get a Love from a thousand places, than he'd better start writing some mean music instead of all of the Love stuff. Prince has great admiration for women which is evident in much of his music. Songs with specific descriptions of what he likes in a woman are good from a musical and an artistic standpoint, but no matter how precise he gets I still think the "problem" will remain to a certain degree. His songs and lyrics will appeal to a lot of women. And to a lot of men. | |

I think it more accurate to say that Prince has 100,000 women--not that he's "known" all of them.
In this context, if you consider how many women he could have "known" over the years, he's been quite selective. It appears, however, that no matter how many women he has at his disposal, he is seeking "The One," aren't we all? | |

I can understand why Prince made this comment. As the years went by, Prince's music appealed to everyone, especially women. I am sure that this feeling that follows Prince is both a blessing and a burden. As it can be for a woman that through her career becomes a sex object, or a Love object. Prince had stated in that quote, that he would like to talk to a man that had a thousand women, as if it is a concern, to carry all of that fringe around with you....Well I am a woman, that has the answer...He didn't have to speak with Solomon or a man at all. If you don't want a thousand women banging on your door Prince...than quit writing songs that appeal to every woman on the planet. Either narrow down your intentions through your music...Or be more specific about the women you want off of your tail...For example..."Turn Me Loose," which one girl of the thousand are u speaking 2? Prince has reached a point in his career where, if the women, are a problem, such as stated in that comment...than only Prince can solve the problem with specifics. If a genius puts a thousand women on cloud 9...How'z a genius gonna get em down? All I know, is that people are calling me names...such as rubber or somethin' and Luv4U is kindly snipping these comments.
Now...when you read that 88 thousand copies of "For You" sold...I was in that group...and in every group of record sales after that...that entitles me, to be allowed to want to marry Prince and have his babies, whether my tubez are tied or not.
