"The Truth" as a single disc

Im sure this has been discussed on here before but what do you think of THE TRUTH as a single disc? what would you rate it 1-5?(5 being the best). What do you think are the strongest/weakest tracks.
I will hold most of my comments but I WILL say that it should be CRIMINAL that "Comeback" isnt longer.. mad

Brilliant! Dionne defines sublime, quirky genius. One of my fav songs from one of my top 5 P albums.

The songs themselves are mostly excellent, it's the production that erks me. Or is it the mixing, or mastering? Whatever it is that gives the album such a cold, clinical sound.

For a semi-acoustic album, it has absolutely no warmth about it whatsoever.

Five...Or 4 point nine...I wouldn't want to discourage Prince from trying to top that.. The cd has very beautiful guitar playing....I do believe that, "The Truth," could have been sold seperately from, "Crystal Ball."

i think it must be intended that way since it is indeed rather cold and bleak
but looking at the space artwork on the disc i think it really fits that sort
of interstellar empty desolation.

plus quite a few songs on the album come from quite a lonely, sad or hostile
place/mindset so that might explain the lack of warmth too.

One of most heartfelt, personal recordings Prince has released.

Love every song.

I remember trying to listen through the whole thing in one go...
bored me to death.
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Really love some of the tracks on here. Don't Play Me, The Truth, Other Side Of The Pillow, One Of Ur Tears, Welcome 2 The Dawn, Animal Kingdom, and Dionne. I'll give it 4/5.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

I agree..I think the album wasnt intended to be colorful...but bleak and melancholy

The Truth is a single disc. Not to nitpick, but it is a completely different and separate project than Crystal Ball . . . they just happen to be bundled together.

I think the cold atmosphere is intentional.

4.9! Animal Kingdom just grates my senses! confused
it's the 1 album I'd like 2 talk 2 him about the most! It raises a few questions. Especially Don't Play me.
