On the way back from the bathroom we both moved to the side as we went through the doorway back to the Paisley Park Concert Area to watch the opening act. As we were passing eachother, I thought "Wow,that guy really looks like .....oh my God!" I went over to tell my wife what happened. About 3 minutes goes by, then he is standing about 5 ft away from us. A couple of people went up to him, but I was in awe. I saw him a few more times the rest of the week. Xenophobia was the best Vacation I have or will ever have. It was AMAZING!!!! And only $250. Bargain of lifetime. u went 2 the bathroom with prince!? the only chance i had 2 c prince up kerlose was with my binoculars i just bought 4 dublin concert... christening them with bountiful loveliness was my aim 'in other words, get close enuff 2 stick'

I was there too, and have great memories of it. Prince walked by me a couple of times at the celebrations in Minny. It was a surreal moment, like, "OMG, there he is!" RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I was a couple feet away from him at one of the 3121 aftershows. He is tiny - not just short but slight.
I felt like an Amazon next to him. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yes!!!
He was 3 positions in front of me in the cashier line at the Super Walmart here in Valrico Florida. I swear to God, he held that line up for like 30 minutes arguing with the cashier about the price of the ground beef. Apparently it's cheaper up north He looked dreadful underneath the bright, florescent lighting.

Once. I was by the front of the stage at House of Blues for a Musicology aftershow in L.A. and he leaned close to me and looked at me eye to eye. I was stunned as hell. I don't even remember exactly what I said as this was happening but it was on the wildest experiences of my life right there. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

YES!! He walked by me at the superbowl after the dress rehersal, ( I helped push the stage on the field!!) and all i could do was dig my nails into my sisters arm and try to not pass out. I couldn't even yell out, "I love you" or "Great job" nothing. It was still one of the coolest things ever!! Just being anywhere near him was amazing. The twins also walked by and were complete snobs but Shelby was cool and was saying thanks to all who were telling her she did a great job.

I have. It was at one of the Love 4 One Another after-parties in 1997. The club had an upper deck with pool tables and Prince was up there playing pool with the band. Of course he had his body guards block off the stairs so no one else could play but he had to walk through the main part of the bar to get to and from the pool tables. Anyway, when he finally came down he walked right past me on his way to the private room they had set up in the back. And by "right past" I mean like two feet away. I wasn't so much surprised by his hight as I was by all the glitter in his hair. The man was damn sparkly!

Last year I was in Vegas working on the film "21" and was there for most of February. My wife came down for Valentines Day weekend and we took a friend of hers with us to 3121 to see if we could get in. Well the concert was sold out but a security guard told me there was an aftershow at the restaraunt which we went and waited in line for till around 3am. Once inside we didn't quite make it into the main room but it was still very intimate. I went off to the restroom and when I returned my wife was frantic. She said "he's here, he's here! I said "Where?" I turned my shoulder and almost knocked him over. He was standing right next to me talking to The Twinz and some other people. Now I'm a big guy but I felt like I was gonna faint! He was dressed from head to toe in white. He had glitter on his face and he smelled pretty damn good! Nice and flowery. He didn't have a wrinkle on his face but I have to say he has a pretty big head for such a tiny frame. That's ok cause I can relate if you know what I mean. My wife said she saw him come in through the kitchen, folded his arms and stood right in the room with a cocky/playful grin to see if anyone noticed him.
I thought I was gonna get the chance to meet him but there were people who were hovering over him trying to get his attention. He went to talk to a friend of his who was sitting as Prince was squatting then his bodyguards grabbed a chair as he stood up and without looking he just sat back in it. He sat across from me and looked over a couple times and just sort of nodded his head and I smiled. I'm sure this will not be the last time we cross paths!

Yes, at a Paisley Park after party during Musicology tour. He was about 5 feet away from me and I was so shocked that I couldn't say a thing. He is petite, about 5'3", and absolutely fine, fine, fine. My 10 year old daughter (a fellow Prince fan) who was with me laughed hysterically because usually I never shut-up and I was speechless. He also made direct eye contact with me at 2 concerts that year in Detroit and Columbus - had excellent seats thanks to NPGMC - made me all tingly inside.

Went over to see Prince in Vegas last year and we got there late so we had to stand right at the back, half way through P went off for a costune change, the nex t thing i knew the spotlight went right on me and i heard the words "she liked to freak at this club up on 76th" i looked to the side of me and p was just standing next to me and my wife, he played the whole song and guitar solo next to us, my wife nearly fainted. It was the most expensive Weekend of my life but that made it worth it!

I was about 4 feet from him once in a night club. It was at the Embassy club in London after one of the One Nite Alone shows. I'm not much of one for dancing and crowds, so was standing out of the way. What I didn't realie was that I was standing near the entrance to the vip area. Renatto came down and went out the back. I shook hands with him and said what a great show it was. That was pretty cool but a short while later people started moving our way and I was pushed into someone. As I turned around, I was pushed up against a mean looking bouncer. Obviously, something was happening, so I looked around him and Prince was standing just the other side of him.
I was surprised at how tiny he seemed, especially as I'd seen him up close to the stage a few times. I always said that he looked like an action figure of himself. RIP

I have been lucky to have seen Prince in person a number of times.
The first time was in Atlanta back in 1990 at a club. The girl I was with pissed her pants because we were dancing right next to him and another girl. The second time was in 1997 ,in Birmingham,Alabama. We had tickets to the Love 4 1 Another concerts and went in the back of the Boutwell Auditorium and bumped into him and his band.We just stood back and watched while they entered the venue. Then we proceeded to follow them into the place. No one took our tickets or asked who we were. In 2000 we had to go through the basement of the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville to get in because the guy we got the tickets from was down there with a radio station. I was talking to the drummer and Mr.Hayes and did not recognize them for a minute until I said why are you guys here? Mr.Hayes said we are waiting for Prince just like you. We were bullshitting and then the limo pulls up and Prince pops out. I said, "What's up?" Prince said , "The sky." We both laughed and he goes back stage. In 2004 my wife and I were in Nashville for the Musicology tour and we had to go the Will Call window to get the tickets. This was about 4 hours before the show and I saw a friend from college who worked for the GEC . While taking with him Prince rode by on a golf cart. My wife tripped out. Then said he's is shorter than her sister.
