I need to convert a Michael Jackson fan.

Ok, so I've known this guy for about a year and I always knew he was a HUGE MJ fan so I automatically presumed he'd at least have a bit of respect for Prince like most rabid MJ fans on here do.

But, no. Turns out he hates him despite having heard NONE of his songs, he just doesn't like his look.

(Don't worry, I pwned him about 60 times in a row in regards to who shows more talent :

"Did you see the Prince superbowl show?"

"No.."

"It was amazing"

"MJ did the superbowl and THAT was amazing"

"He lip synced the whole thing"

".....true"

-----

"MJ hasn't had a hit in years"

"What about One More Chance"

"WTF is that?"

".....true."

lol

So he had an interest in hearing some P songs, which ones do y'all reccomend?

Now, there's an idea, instead of, er, "aquiring" songs, I should just use my brain and give him my The Hits CD.

falloff

Hit his ass up with "Right Back Here In My Arms","Shockadelica","Shes Always In My Hair","Rebirth of The Flesh","Computer Blue" or even "P Control" if that doesn't exorcise the demon out of him("Dance With The Devil"),make his ass sit down and watch "Sign peace The Times" or "Rave Un 2 The Joy Fantastic" ! guitar

Good Luck and "All Hail The New King In Town" yay!
peace PEACE.....It does not mean 2 be in a place where there is no noise, trouble,or hardwork. It means 2 be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart ! heart

That ought to do it.

This is difficult, because I am a MJ AND Prince fan. Why does one have to be a fan of one or the other? Can't we respect the musical talents of both? They are both music superstars from the 80's. They both have their good and bad points, they are BOTH weird and eccentric. Say what you will but I firmly believe that you can be a fan of both, and not have to choose.

if hes a fan of guitar work...could always spring out just my imagination at smal club.

if not, then how about some of the thumping tunes like gett off...and right back here in my arms was a good idea too.

17 days should be able to convert anyone too.

if hes a fan of a little filth...the come album has a nice range of tunes.
Wouldn't you love to love me?

The more poppy stuff from Dirty Mind would be good. When You Were Mine, Uptown, Gotta Broken Heart Again...

I've never met anyone who doesn't love the whole Purple Rain album though. Has he really never heard it?

Oh yeah, if he's one of those weirdos who likes MJ's lip synced performances like the Superbowl then he might be one that's just impressed by fancy over-production. In that case the Lovesymbol album and Diamonds & Pearls could appeal.

The Best of Prince is the album I started off with, and then it snowballed from there. Now I have something like 20 albums,a bunch of dvds, a vinyl, poster. yadda yadda yadda. I have alot of love and respect for Prince as I do for Michael. And it's funny. As large as my Prince collection is, my MJ collection is literally twice as large. As an MJ fan, you don't have to be kissing Prince's ass or be a fanatic, but it's almost criminal to NOT know who he is or at least respect him! I mean, come on, it's PRINCE! All of my friends are MJ fans, and they are also into Prince too.
I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me.
Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots.
Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

Yeah, I went to 14 Prince shows last summer, all accompanied by my MJ fan friends and we unexpectedly ran into a bunch of MJ fans we knew there a few times too.

nod I am a fan of both, although my fandom has somewhat dwindled for MJ over the years. But back in the day, they were on equal footing in my mind.
