Tori Amos mentions WDC on new cd On her new cd, in the song Wednesday she refers 2 "When Doves Cry" here's the part with the reference:
"out past the fountain" a left by the station I start the day in the usual way then think - well why not- and stop for a coffee and begin to recall things that you say pluck up the courage and snap it's gone again I start humming 'when doves cry' Peace "Time is a train, makes the future the past"

I love the album. To me it represents a return to a simpler sound. I think it's her most straight forward and honest album since Under the Pink and possibly Little Earthquakes. I think she made the right move with this one.

I listen to this at least once a day. I agree it's heavily influenced by Strange Little Girls, and it didn't grab me at first. It does grow on you though. She's incredible.

Just more of the same.
She ain't going nowhere no more. Love the land map though. I am still in the listening process. I am sure it will grow on me, like all of her other albums except that stupid cover album. Why is she with Sony now? Did I miss sumthing?

I can't really judge the album yet, since I only received it yesterday and am still listening 2 it
But it does sound pretty much all the same on this album... I hope repeated listens will remedy this... I have always liked her msuic though, I got in2 he songs when I first heard "Cornflake Girl" I immediateluy bought the cdsingle and the cd 'under the pink" wow, she was 2 me the female Prince... I saw her perform live once in 92 I believe 4 the under the Pink Tour , very cool and intimate.. peace "Time is a train, makes the future the past"

i have to say i agree...i thought nothing could be better than Boys for Pele but this is brilliant...i love that she has balls enough to admit that 9-11 made her think about this country and not necessarily in a great light...amber waves says it all...America is a whore...but there is always hope and room for improvement...we can make America great again (ok, ok, cue the patriotic music)...alright, let me stop, too much coffee and not enough sleep...but i do love the album and it's statement.
