THE ORIGINAL TIME TO PLAY LAS VEGAS IN JUNE!

In February we played the Grammy's. Now we are on our way to play the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, starting June 24th through July 5th and July 29th through August 5th.

Morris Day will reunite with original Time bandmates Jerome Benton, Jellybean Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Monte Moir, performing hits like “Jungle Love,” “Get It Up,” “Jerk Out” , "Cool," and “The Bird.”



The seeds for this reunion were sown in 2004. “The timing needed to be perfect,” explained Day. “With new artists sampling old-school music, my phone started ringing off the hook. I knew it was the right time.” And with that, Morris Day and the Time stunned the world by joining Rihanna during the 50th annual GRAMMY® Awards and performing “Jungle Love” in front of millions of viewers.

Can't anyone in prince's camp (current or former) write a decent press release? that quote from morris is downright pathetic.

i like the press release except this part:

The show went downhill when she hit stage.

The Time Settles In For Las Vegas Shows

After reuniting for the first time in 15 years for the 50th Grammy awards in February, R&B/funk group the Time has announced additional concert performances at the Flamingo Las Vegas, beginning June 24 and wrapping Aug. 2.

All original members of the Time -- Morris Day, Jerome Benton, Jellybean Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Monte Moir and Jesse Johnson -- are slated for 15 shows at the Flamingo.

During the band's Grammy performance, Jimmy Jam introduced his fellow bandmates and group opened with "Jungle Love," switching over mid-song to a slightly down-tempo, pyrotechnic laden version of "Umbrella" by Rihanna, who then continued with "Don't Stop the Music."

In April, Day joined Prince onstage at the ninth annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., for a collaboration on "Jungle Love."

Tickets for The Time are on sale now. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday.
