Friend, Lover, Mother, Sister/Piece of Shit!

Everyone with any taste absolutely loathes that song. lol

no no no! I don't like when people use absolutes like EVERYone and NO one.

I happen to like that song.... I think the sentiment behind it is wonderful.
Trust me, I have plenty of taste.

People like different things. I read through lists sometimes and think, rolleyes at people's choices.
I happen to hate "Little Red Corvette", "America" and "When 2 R in Love". Although I get the popularity of the 1st one, I can't understand why people rave over the 2nd two. But I would never say they don't have taste. confused

I never liked america either! confused

People tend to rave over the long version of the song, but I have never been able to sit through all 21 minutes of it.

I have tried and tried to listen to the long version of America and when I hit about the 10 minute mark, I just stop.

I can tolerate the other songs you mentioned. I like Dolphin, but have to be in the mood for it (like I do most Prince songs). Since he has such a vast catalog, I have different choices for my moods.

I know it's all opinion, so here's mine...

It does not get any worse than "Chelsea Rogers" and "The Lion Of Judah." Planet Earth was definitely the worse Prince album so far, but even given that as a fact the above mentioned tracks are new levels of low, a low I hoped Prince would never reach.

And I'll be the sole defender of "3 Chains Of Gold" in this thread... that song is one of Prince's finest achievements!

eek

cool

Ok if you say so about 3 Chains O' Gold, but you can't escape its similarities with Bohemian Rhapsody. No it's not a rip off but it's built on the same framework reordered. After framing it it is all Prince. 3 Chains O' Gold could have easily been on the Batman Soundtrack. Just change the lyrics.

I Totally agree regarding Planet Earth. It's his worst and laziest. I want someone who hates Chaos and Disorder to try to defend Planet Earth.

Well, that's not me, as I love Chaos And Disorder! As for Bohemian Rhapsody and 3 Chains Of Gold, I disagree with you. The similarities are purely superficial, ie, surface level, and don't really stand up to hardcore analysis. It's an easy criticism to make, but it doesn't really stand in my eyes (and ears).

Peace.

I like Right the Wrong in a 'car accident' kind of way. I do like the fact that he's trying but so clearly misses.

See, Jughead is mitigated by the fact he was 'influenced' by a shit rapper.
Right The Wrong has no such excuse...
...other than being the punishment WB so richly deserved, but we didn't confused

Agreed. "Right the Wrong" is a track that should have been left in the vault and never released. It sux that bad.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Eye like funky music --- just ok, nothing special
Most of the Rainbow children ----One of my favorite P albums

COME ON! Still would stand all time is like the greatest ballad ever written and Gold and Dolphin made the Gold Experience tolerable.
