If it is the white vinyl pressing with a white label, supposedly 300 copies were pressed, each one numbered between 001 and 300. These promos were given to business associates of Warner Bros. Records.
There's a website on the Black Album with a page on the white vinyl promo, including the whereabouts (where known) of each numbered copy. I'm sure they'd be interested in hearing about your friend's record. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
