Do you think that Prince in performance would look great on Blu-Ray disc?I know Purple Rain is out on the format but I would like to see more of his concerts released on High Definition.What do you think?Peace!

i want to see more of his performances released- full stop.

You have to get hold of a copy of Lovesexy! It is an amazing show. The stage is the most elaborate I've ever seen for a Live concert!

Yes! Especially the old videos sometimes they're so grainy I can hardly watch them.

The problem is that if it was shot in standard resolution video, it won't look any better on Blue Ray. The movies can look better because they were shot on film so they go back to the original source and process it again in HD. Sadly, because of the original source on the P.R. tour show, as well as anything shot on video from back in the day, it won't look much different.

Blue Ray isn't going to save poorly shot video from the past and Prince probably shot most of his concerts on video. In fact, odds are he hasn't switched to HD yet. Most people haven't, partially because of the cost, and partially because one format for broadcast (I'm not talking about BlueRay/HDVD) hasn't become the standard. As a TV producer, I know that each network has a different standard for HD so I doubt Prince has invested too much money in one direction yet.

Just a little dose of reality.

51" LCD Hi Def Tv, with an xbox 360 elite, and PS3 blu ray players running through the HDMI ports! Yamaha 6.1 DTS surround!

It looks great, He looks great and it all sounds amazing as the SOTT movie is re-mastered in 5.1.

The Rave in2 2000 is DTS and that sounds realy good too!
