Sorry I can't comment on your work Chilli as I can't receive pictures at work (A real pain when all the 'Post Prince pics' threads show up).
He definitely influenced me when I got into him as a teenager, especially his image. I did Art and Fashion Design at college, and it was amazing how more 'fitted - flamboyant - and tight' all my work became! From this I naturally began to aim towards clothes that I hadn't gone for before! I used to love walking around with buttons sewn up the sides of my trousers. Most definitely.
At 16 years old, I had already been influenced by JB, Sly, Parliament, Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, along with various R&B, jazz, blues, and rock artists. When I got turned on 2 Prince, I was floored by several things. His funk guitar, his vocals and lyrics, his rythym tracks, and his bass playing have all influenced me, no doubt.
