There was nothing better then seeing Prince come on stage with Common and sing the Light....

I even held hands with Erykah Badu the night before. She got of stage and stood on the folding chair right in front of me. I had my hands in the air and she grabbed one (fingers inter-lock) and we kicked it...for a minute or two. The chair was there because a old woman was sitting in it but then she left.


Man....bring back the Celebrations!!!!!

I was front left for Amel Larrieux, Erykah, Common and Nikk a Costa; and to the right when The Time played.

On the night that Erykah performed I was against the stage. She was mesmerising right from her entrance. She reclined at one point right in front of me playing a stringed instrument (the tuning allowed her just to barre the strings with one finger - I think it was AD 2000). From memory, she came out on to the chair (to my right) either whilst singing 'Bag lady' or 'Cleva' and we all sang along. I thought she was stunning.

If you were there and queuing outside Paisley Park on those days, I think it's quite possible we chatted.

I think we were all singing "Alright with me..." from the song Cleva (a lot better live). That is when she came down and stood on the chair in front of me and held my hand in the air. Man I wish we could go back to that week. I talked to Common....

Bring back the celebrations!!!!! He couldn't have made a lot of money off of it... The whole week (day and night) was $75....

that was a great moment, common, prince, eryka and kip blackshire at paisley singing the light. erykah guested with common and he guested with erykah. at the erykah show prince was standing next to me watching her for a while, and when she came offstage i shook her hand. she went backstage with prince and left cuz prince had a go at her for saying "shit" onstage (common neve swore once during his set) and she left. i then ended up in studio b with the time (inc morris day, jerome, terry lewis, femi,hans and mani) till 6am

i got a repeat at the indigo2 aftershow last year, common supported prince and then did about 3 numbers at the aftershow, including the light with prince. i got to sing into the mic that time. will i am was pretty good rapping where is the love at the indigo2 whilst prince jammed
