wow P really has dumbed down his audience hasn't he. I am more than accepting of others opinions and in he great scheme of the world it really doesn't matter if P releases another classic like SOTT or pile of poo like NPS. However in the context of Prince and his recent release thsi is IMHO easily amongst the worst, laziest and embarrasing tracks he does in a while. Don't get me wrong the band are great and do their parts very very well but the song itself , live at least, is junk. P is turning into a vegas style JB tribute band. Sad fact is that he has umpteen unreleased classics which he could cobble together into a 12 track classic CD!.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but Prince hasn't sung that way in a recording for years. His voice is in immaculate condition. People will dig this, look at how hard the title track pushed Musicology sales. The difference here is that Turn me Loose has a memorable hook.

If the new album (?) is moving in this direction, I can see another classic being pushed out. What I'd like is some versatility though. So the lead track is killer, Prince is still writing which is a good sign and he's starting to tour. I sense a masterpiece in the works!
