Great song.
It may be the best first single for a new Prince album in many a year. And the lyrics are down right nasty, (without cursing, so it passes Prince's lyrical standards). It does remind me musically of "Prettyman" & "Get on the Boat" with a sprinkle of "Kiss" in there, but a lot more fun. The new material gets better and better. Cannot wait for a download. Anyone have any buzz if this is going to be released soon? | |

Great song...and here's why. Because it sounds like vintage Prince but it also sounds like something completely new. It's got a 70s vibe but doesn't sound like it is stuck in the 70s. The lyrics are amusing, risque and, most important, confident. No, it's not an instant classic but it could rank with some of the best work from 2000 on.
I really thought the man was going to take some well-deserved rest this year after the whirlwind that was 2004-2007 but this song and the Coachella performance, seems to be throwing down some kind of gauntlet. Who knows what it will lead to but I'm excited. Damn, this man keeps pulling me back in every freaking time... All good things they say never last... | |

Either that, or people have just become spoiled and over saturated... dunno. It's a big world and there are as many universes as there are people.
