Thanks everyone. If you think 12 times is a lot I have met some fans who went to all the 21 concerts AND 21 aftershows, now I am jealous, but there is no way I could have gone to all those. sometimes the aftershow did'nt start till about 2am, that meant i did'nt get home until 6am, well thats ok if you don't have to get up for work the next day. But I would have loved to have seen all the shows. I really did'nt realize Prince was so amazing. He is definately a one off, there is nobody in this world quite like him and there never will be in the future. I have always liked his hits cream, purple rain,etc, but i never bought any of singles or cds, I suppose i was into other music at the time.
I only went to the 02 due to all of the hype surrounding the concerts, the rave reviews and fans talking on you tube, when i saw that fans were going to 10 or more concerts I thought this man must be bloody brilliant, thats when I thought I should buy more tickets. I could really kick myself for not getting into his music years ago, when i think of all those concerts I could have gone to its making me feel ill. I gradually bought all his cds and i have to say I love ALL of them, it's impossible to pick one fave album and one fave track. A few of my fave songs are The beautiful ones, Purple rain, Te amo Corazon, Fury, SHOE,The Greatest Romance, I hate you, Adore,Do me baby, Space. I love the songs where he screams, (like the beautiful ones). Everytime I watch a dvd play a cd Ishake my head in amazement, even though I have seen/heard them over and over. If I could use one word to describe Prince I would have to say unique, not just for the music but also the lyrics, videos, concerts, aftershows, clothes, and of course the boots. He had better hurry up and come back to funky London.
