sure its a little bit long and  ... and prince for some reason thought it was a good idea to use kirky-j's stripper/g-funk music in the production.but its has its certain charm.I've always liked Emancipation in spite of its flaws. The sheer ambition behind it deserves respect, but there's something else to it. Even though it has its share of filler, there is a lot of inspired work here. For every insipid throw-away like Mr. Happy, there are mystical, hypnotic numbers like Curious Child. For every bad cover, there is a powerful gem like The Love We Make. All in all, Emancipation is like an intriguing misfire. [Edited 4/21/08 9:41am] The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
