I have followed P since I was 7 (back in 1984)...

He was always the mysterious alternative to Michael Jackson who was America's pop star back in the day. Each album is like turning a page of a good book. Some chapters are better than others. It is nice to say I grew up in the Golden Age of Prince 1978-1984 (to 1988 for some others). Whether it was the revolutionary 1999 to the sprawling SOTT, every song, even at its weakest, was a gem,

It was really nice to see his induction into the RRHOF back in 2004. The Minneapolis wild man became the respected elder statesman. The Superbowl was icing on the cake in a journey that although not as fascinating as it once was, still merits my attention.

I am a fan 4 many reasons. Prince is still an amazing live performer. He is must more energetic than most acts that are half his age. Despite the claims that people make about his more recent albums, I think he still makes solid albums. SOmetimes he tends 2 over produce things or overthink them. Other times he underproduces things. Nevertheless, if Prince wasn't relevant and he was washed up, we wouldn't be sitting here debating on each release.

unlike MJ or Madonna, Prince does his own thing. If he wants 2 sound current he can. If He wants 2 do some throwback type stuff, he will do that. He doesn't have 2 look at the charts or call his people 2 get the IT producer 2 make his sounds 4 him. It would be great 2 see him hook up with other producers from time 2 time but I think he will continue 2 please and piss us off 4 years 2 come...either way, u are gonna buy it.
