Strange! I have had a couple of complains, but a lot of people have ordered already... Try safari, netscape or firefox. I have tried them all, and they all work!

The cd will also be available from other webshops in a while, but until May, Musikkonline.no is the only place you can buy it.

Naah, this could be a huge wobbly pair of big foot sized pants.

Why do I get the feeling this compilation could have "Crystal Ball and Emancipation Syndrome"? Song overkill....i hope im wrong but this may turn out to be alot better if it was 3 CD's worth.

I want 2 hear Bill Bailey do a Prince song. That i'd pay for!!

Wow, it's gonna be expensive if you have to end up paying the publishing on that. 80 songs, 5,000 copies. That's $36,400 is publishing dollars.

Haha Petski...you bitter Sweedes! I tried to make a compilation in Sweeden too, but there were too much negativity... Forget about the oil-money for a while. You'll get surprised when you hear the album... A good song is not about nationality. The publishing costs won't be that much by the way, but it will be quite expensive:-)
Of course it is a song overkill. Thas the beauty of it. If you don't like a track, just skip to the next one. For this prize, you can afford to skip!!!

Norweigan sounds hilarious when sung. I once heard a track from the Norweigan cast album of "The Rocky Horror Show" and couldn't keep a straight face.

And this is what she says about it:

Dear Friends

I know It..s been very quiet from my end lately, so I just wanted to give you all proof of life and thank you for your continued support and incouragement. It is highly appreciated and means a lot to me.

I am still writing music for a third album, but now and then I get distracted by
other musical projects. One of these projects is a Prince tribute album that is to be released in Norway this year, the year of Prince..s 50..th anniversary. The tribute has been initiated by norwegian Christer Falck and will be released on his record label C+C Records .
I, among many, many other artists, got to do a cover version of a Prince song. The choice of song was an easy one for me, becauce there was one in perticular that I had been wanting to play and record for a really long time. Now I have!

My quote for the booklet reads like this:

"The Morning Papers" by Prince was my very first real
introduction to american pop music, and I felt i had discovered the
song all by myself.
I recorded it from a radio show on my huge casette player, and played
it to peaces. You know you really want to listen to a song when you
bother to wait as it rewinds for almost as long as it takes to play.
To this day, despite the countless incredible and loveable songs that
has come out of this man, "The Morning Papers" remain my all time
Prince favourite. - Marte Wulff

The song is recorded and produced in one day by danish producer and musician Dennis Ahlgren, in unbelievably cool Paradise Park Recording Studio in Copenhagen. All keys are played by Andreas Brinck.
I really hope you..ll like it.

All the best and and a lot of love: Marte

I didn't get hold of Annie...just her management who said no thanx on her behalf. Datarock said no (also through the management) and Margaret Berger were supposed to work with a band called Monomen, but they were working on thir own album, so therefore Margaret was out too...

This sounds like something everybody should have a listen to. smile

Clearly, it's something for everyone on this compilation, and for
the extreme cheap price of 300 Norwegian Crowns, it's a no-brainer.

Thanks for the heads-up on this! I went ahead and put an order in and was pleasantly surprised that even with shipping to the States, that it was only $58.00.

Dammit anyway...put the words 'Prince' and 'Limited Edition' together and the collector neurons start firing like crazy. nuts lol

btw...I did have a problem with Firefox and had to use IE to order. But my FF has been kinda wacky since the last update...grrr.

Damn….

I’ve been listening to the myspace link (thanks christerfalck)…and I’ve really been enjoying it.

I love these songs, and I love to hear these new (and often quite different) interpretations!

That’s why I’m a Lutheran (just kidding on that one)

I know I’m dumb American…but how do I buy this album?

UPDATE---EDIT----

Found where to buy...but not interested in opening up 2 accounts to do so...Might wait until Amazon or like outlet carries it.

Man, Their website sucks!

I don't know what to say yet. I just hope that Prince's lawyers understands that this is a quite extraordinary fan-cd-box in a very limited edition, and that we come in peace.
And those of you who have ordered the cd will either get the cd in their mailbox on June 2nd, or get the money in return. I promise!!!
But I'm quite sure we'll work something out. I had a talk with Universal Publishing, Sweden, today, and they are very positive to the release. So is Tono (the Norwegian copyright administers) and Head Of Universal Norway, Petter Singsaas.
I just cross my fingers and hope that the man himself will take a listen here:
www.myspace.com/shockadelicanorway

I'm sure this is proof enough that this album is to be taken seriously.
