Around the World In Day
...(the most amazing 'pop' record ever.. at the time compared to Sgt. Peppers ... but Sgt. Peppers was naff compared to ATWIAD).

17 years later no-one has got near it

2nd Dirty Mind ... just for what it stood for in terms of creativity and breaking with the set image for a young black musician at the end of the disco era

3rd Come. 2 years without a new album then this!!! O Lord!!! Only 2 songs I'd not listen to over and over again (Race and Lose)

It really depends on my mood...

but these days, it comes down to these (in no particular order):

PARADE
SIGN O THE TIMES
THE RAINBOW CHILDREN
LOVESEXY
1999

I guess I usually say "Lovesexy"

Unreleased:

WONDERFUL ASS
IN A LARGE ROOM WITH NO LIGHT
ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT

Note: I'm very underschooled in unreleased tracks.
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

very hard question isnt it, eye couldnt choose just 1, so ill split mine up in 3 catogories:

classic prince: sign o the times
nothing compares 2 this album, its prince at his princely best.

pop promotonal album: diamonds and pearls
eye enjoyed this album the most when it 1st came out

personal favourite: crystal ball.
eye just love listening 2 this album, its got alot of great funky tracks on it and of course ure usual prince ballads, im a funk freak and this album goes down well 4 me.

favourite unreleased song: has 2 be a song calle dfunk radio that sounds like the funkiest shit that hes done, eye still have not heard the whole song and dont even have it.

favourite unreleased disc: definately small club. unbelievable listening experience.
If ure radio aint on the FUNK, then ure radio aint on!!!

Favorite album at the moment is Parade, followed closely by SOTT. TRC is suprsingly being listened to more and more as well.

The ones I loved right off the bat?
Purple Rain, SOTT, Diamonds & Pearls, Gold, Chaos & Disorder (no flames please, LOVE the 1st 1/2 of that album.), The Vault, Crystal Ball, & Emancipation.

The ones that took me awhile to get into but now love:
Parade, ATWIAD, Lovesexy, TRC, Come, The Black Album, Dirty Mind, Controversy, Batman, GB--I had to make a seperate tape/CD of just the Prince songs...and now I love it.

The ones that I hated at 1st listen and still dislike:
Symbol (except for 7), 1st 2, Rave.

Fave unreleased tunes:
Moonbeam Levels, Wonderful Ass, Empty Room, & long version of Computer Blue.

Any album released 1980-1988 blew me away and was pure genius by any standards.
After that, I'd say sections of albums have been wonderful, but never the whole album. Rainbow Children is the closest IMO
Empty Room 95 is my favourite unreleased track.
