Someone here recently raise a bit of a debate over whether Prince’s music had been influenced by the Beatles or not, but what about God’s?
Not talking about religion here, just the spiritual influence of God.

Who sees it who doesn’t?

Hell, no! If anything, God has been stealing Prince's beats!

Those that dont see it,wont see it.It depends on the soul.The music moves you like a leaf riding on the wind.Where you end up,is entirely based on whats inside.

I definately feel God has influenced his music I think the way it touches people and his undeniable talent are examples of his gifts from God. For him to have lasted 3 whole decades and still make hot music that is still relevant to people of my age (16) is a blessing (this is just my opinion by the way),

Prince is a religious nutjob, it's all over his music, right back to the start almost.


Well, it is religious, it's hardcore Christian.

I think God's influence is in all of his music, even the sexy songs.

God has definitely covered Prince with roses...There isn't a song, that Prince has done...that doesn't have God's awareness with it...Even the sexy stuff...that is a gift for lover's.
Prince gives sweet attention to Adam and Eve's love with "The greatest Romance." ...and the list goes on...with songs that include passages from the bible or the essence of that profound closeness.

I agree 100% that God has had a huge influence on Prince's work. Prince lives as any true musician should. For the music itself. He pays so much attention to it and knows exactly what he wants it to sound that. What he can tell comes from a feeling deep inside. A true musician lives besides their music in heart and soul.
At one time, he called his music inspirational because it came from deep inside him, from his heart. And he believes that inspiration has come from God. Even before the whole conversion to the JW faith, he has felt a certain connection with his creator and that has gotten him through a lot. He believes that he should learn from his mistakes rather than blaming God for the bad things that have happened to him in the past.

As for me, I do believe that God had Prince custom-made. What other musician out there is just as prolific and can write so much music that it affects so many different people from around the world... not to mention that we all can compare experiences with certain songs and agree a lot on what he's trying to tell us through the music. Able to relate to one another through the same songs.

Prince truly has embraced his God-given gifts and somehow, he just has a certain something about him that separates him from the rest. But that's just my opinion.
