Walk Don't Walk bassline

Is that Prince's voice doing the bassline in Walk Don't Walk? Or is it a sophisticated sample? The vibrato sounds near perfect, almost too perfect!

Indeed that 'bassline' is his voice.

He did the same on the song Partyman by the way: he sampled his voice and played it 'back' as a bassline.
