Prince nod in Spider-Man comic!

I just cracked open this week's Marvel comic "Amazing Spider-Man #555, in which Spidey and Wolverine team-up when a sudden blizzard hits NYC. Guess what it's titled?

"Sometimes It Snows In April"!!!1

That reminds me, several years ago, the artist on Deadpool (Georges Jeanty) would put a lot of Prince references in that book.

He actually used to visit the chatroom here, and I had a conversation with him. shrug

hmmm I wonder if our very own Mr. Medina had anything to do with that. He has drawn Spiderman and Spawn comics, as far as I know.

Isn't there a footnote about it being an obscure Prince joke?

That's neat-oh! Imma go look for some trades and see if I can find 'em.

So, how was your conversation? Was he cool?

Georges is actually one of my best friends and I've known him for years...We actually first met at a wrecka stowe because of our common interest in Prince.

Anyway, he's a damn fine artist and he's always snuck a few Prince references into his books that he's working on. His latest gig that he's been on for some time now is the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series....Check them out....

I tried to get some dirt on the re-alignment of the X-titles that was coming up at the time, back in 2001, I think. It was right before Morrison took over, and all that stuff. He didn't really have many details to share, being off on a satellite title. He was cool to talk to, though.
