Really, this thing have been confusing me 4 a quite a while now. Privacy is without a doubt his RIGHT but doesn't seem that way at all, its like the brutha have SERIOUS PERSONAL problems against Photographing. LOL I've neva seen some1 hate photographing with passion more than me.

Does any1 know why does he hate photographing??

I Hate them too so I can Understand. But basically he looks great in them so I wish he would take more photos. I Love seeing him Smile. He's so Cute.

He treid to play it off like he got physically ill ( see Rolling Stone 1984 article) but as much as that cricket knows he's a pretty mutherfucker and likes his pic taken you know its the Tom Cruise syndrome. They like to have rights to all pictures so nobody can go and make calendars etc etc or posters, turning their acting, art, into mass consumption. Thats why you never saw Tom Cruise posters in his 80's heyday etc

At the aftershow in copenhagen, there were people taking pictures. Prince told them to stop, and explained that it hurts to get all this blitz in your eyes.

I think he is trying to minimize it while working. If he did´t do it, there would probably be a storm of blitz thru his concerts.

when prince is playing live he is working, and maybe he just want a good envorement to work in.

I always smack people on the head when they are trying to take photos of me so I can relate. No really, why do some people insist on possessing half-assed tourist camera photos of every frickin' rabbit and postman that passes 'em by? Couldn't they just, you know at least ask first without just shoving the lens in your nose? It's just courtesy.

It's not a JW thing but,perhaps it's snap shots he don't like since they are not as perfected as a photo shoot.I've wondered this too but,can understand at the same time.You have all came up with good reasoning on this subject.So,I am sure it is a number of reasons.

And then of course, you know how he is about other people potentially making money off anything to do with him.

so much silly speculation. I know lots of people who don't like having their picture taken, especially when they're working. it's not the most comfortable thing in the world.

I think it's because pictures taken by a professional photographer in a controlled setting produce better images. The lighting, poses and airbrushing of any problem areas can be done in professional photos. You really can't do that with amateur snapshots.

Look through your own photo albums and you can see that the professionally taken images present you or your loved ones in a better light than the snapshots.
