free to spend a day... or two? if Prince was free to spend a day or two, where would you take him, to meet whom, to see what.....
me, I would take him to see... the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow, fabulous building housing some amazing art... Museum and Art Gallery in Edinburgh (National??) the one on Princes St next to the gardens... the sun setting over the beach where i live.. the sky and stars outside my front door.... to hear the birds, as i walk to work each morning, greeting the day... to see Kate Walsh in concert... missed her myself this time around, but a pretty voice and songs to match...

First, I would ask him what he would like to do. I would try to introduce our food out here but he prolly won't touch it LOL! May-be I would make a soy gumbo or soy jambalaya or something. I would give him a lil tour of where I'm from (a little bit of our culture)(we only have like a little over 2000 population) then I'll introduce him to Zydeco and the dance. Then bring him to Baton Rouge just to look around, then I'll bring him to New Orleans and we'll visit jazzly and bluesy things. At the same time, we'll be enjoying culture and music that isn't hardly heard but just getting to be recognized by the Grammy's. I would tell no one he's here but may-be some family (the ones I'm close to) and they'll all welcome him like a family member. I'll just let him relax like it's a vacation.
Good question... Um... let me warm up my vocals

If forced to stay inside, I would show Prince some pictures and some poetry. If we could take a drive...It would be nice to drive the Natchez Trace, and spend the day talking. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I live in the most boring little town. Prince would be in coma from boredom. LOL.
But really, I'd cart him around to all my friends houses and say, "You remember when we watched Purple Rain and wished we were in the movie?" BAM! (and have Prince pop out of my car.) And maybe take him to a nice restaraunt, and let him taste some good (vegeterian) Southern food. Then have dessert. And by dessert I don't mean chocolate pudding! I love a Man who:

above the clouds we'll watch the sunrise at 10,000 ft above the sea,
where the ocean merges with the sky like an eternal melding of two lovers, we'd explore the caverns where molten flows passed in journey to salt waters consuming everything in it's passionate fervor to reach it's destination the bay would be our playground as we lay in the sun drinking up sweet rays our faces thoroughly kissed with smiles like small children happy without a care

That's a tough one since he could probably go wherever he wants to go already anyway and probably has seen it all. If I took him to my favorite spots, he might get bored, since I go there for reflection and quiet time alone, or just drive a scenic route with my favorite music blaring on the speakers (especially "Love" cause it makes me feel like I'm flying)

I would invite him for a weekend in Kinshasa, soaking up Congolese music.
Then, I would take him to MIT's Media Lab. It's a playground. They make all sorts of fun and bold innovations in sound/music. And you can try your hand at some of them. It's open 24h so nightowls are welcome:) And on a more ethereal level: I would ask him his views on things, ask what he doesn't know, what he 'd like to know... Then I would ask him to teach me something... - if he is willing of course - anything, could be some philosophical wisdom, some thoughts for the future... And finally, ask him what he would like to learn, still, at this point in his life.

I'm technologically challenged today, I keep posting twice the same posts - no idea why... unless my Russian service provider is playing tricks on me.
Anyway, sorry guys. | |

"Really, it was funny."
I don't know... I'm not a native English speaker, so I miss half the jokes/humor that natives make. It sucks wildgoldenhoney said: Flo6 said: Sure, but I wouldn't want to the Org to be over'flo'ed:)
