I love the trenchcoat [w/ clothes/pants] in the Cont/1999/PR. My favorite era used to be Parade, it was Rave for a real long time too. I really like the tunic/"sexy pirate" look of Rave. I know we're talking 'bout clothes but the medium length bob and the facial hair were just  . But I digress 
I LOVE his normal person/suit era (late '01-04, now it's a little played, not too creative--or maybe because he's looking a little on the scrawny side lately)
Right now, I think SOTT is my favorite outfit era, I just love the gold/black theme. His hair was cute then, too. His face seemed more attractive too  Something about his face makes it gold.
But as for favorite outfit in general...[i haven't looked at these things in a minute]  OR OR
 I'm so indecisive.

Purple Rain/Around the World in a Day.
I hated the Controversy look. It pretty much has kept me from buying it actually. I loved his look from the Batman era. The Joker inspired clothing, and plus aside from that, he wasn't image conscience. See the SNL performance of Electric Chair. No image perse he's just up there. Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together | |

I saw that suit up close. He wore it at a Vegas aftershow last year. (I was just a couple feet away from him.) It's exactly the color it is in the black-and-white video - sort of a charcoal gray. I don't know what color the shirt was in the video...but he had a mustard-color shirt on with it in Vegas. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. i liked the regular suits during the UTCM period. it was prolly the first time the public saw him cleaned up/ regular. i thought he looked cool in those.
