I have this crazy thing where I wondered what Prince would look like with a slicked back ponytail, does anyone else wonder what other hairstyle would look good on him too.

Mine is one length and slicked back in a pony tail. I've actually thought of getting it cut this weekend before I visit family in New York next week. It been like 8 years now, so I figured I'm ready. I'm wondering if I'm going to turn around and grow it back right after.

Funny, just this afternoon I thought it would be cool to see a retrospective of hairstyles through the years. The other day I wondered if we'd ever see him natural again. Maybe he could try dreadlocks.

My eyesight gives me the evidence. His hair is thinning just like his father's and he uses hair pieces to make it thicker. In a Chris Rock interview, a camera angle that caught him from the back showed his hair is thinning. I saw a couple of early ONA shows. When the spotlight hit Prince, I could see his scalp shining through his thin hair. In the pictures on the European tour, his hair is short but thick again on top from his hair piece.

He also had the slicked-back 'do in 1989/90 when he accepted a lifetime accomplishment award on the American Music Awards -- Anita Baker presented the award, and he had on a funky black and white suit with poker cards on the collar and a full beard.

I have to agree, I hadn't seen in in 10 years and then I saw him the other week, 3 nites. He looks amazing. i swear to god, he doesn't look a day older than he did 10 years ago...except the hair. There are tell tale signs with the thinning & also, I really hate to say it, but did anyone notie the small bald spot on the back of his head down the bottom, above the hairline of his neck...

Anyway, I can't believe I am typing this shit. The man is looking great. Thinning hair is natural for a 44 yo. In fact it is regal.

You know perming your hair and hot combing and all the products that prince use in his hair is probably what thins it out. Although there look nothing wrong with his hair to me. In the ONA tour book his hair looks thick and healthy.
