If you think about it...cigarettes was jsut a common thing back then espically in story telling...I think of the old movies and everyone has a cigarette...espically when they are sad or mad...

Piano version is much better though, and I like the fully fleshed out version. It's syncopated and funky and has more emotion.

Great song.
One of my all-time favorites. Love the reggae feel underneath it. Would love to hear him talk about writing/recording this song and his thought processes.

I heard the piano version, too, and I really enjoyed that, as well. Love if he released that and the piano version of The Ladder on his Web site.
