Well, that kills Housequake.com's story of total bullshit.

Prince has been seen all over L.A. at various night clubs recently and also at the Roosevelt Hotel Thursday afternoon in his Light blue Bentley.

But late Saturday night took the cake. He showed up to Harvelles in Redondo Beach of all places. The reason? His former 80’s protegee Sheila E. was performing there with her family, the Escovedos.

Prince first went to the back of the club in the VIP section, dressed in all black and hair looking great, no shades. He walked quickly to get to the back of the VIP area. Ironically, earlier in the night, the director of Purple Rain, Albert Magnoli was there.

Prince was not there too long in that VIP area as several people were trying to make a b-line to the Royal one. He was taken to another VIP area where there was more privacy.

At the end of the night, Sheila said ” I want to introduce you to my friend.” Out came Prince, now wearing sunglasses, along with a huge smile as he jumped in front of the keyboards and starting jamming. His performance lasted about a minute as bulbs of cameras were flashing everywhere. He smiled and turned around and walked out the same way he came in. Very cool.

One thing is for sure, Redondo Beach just got a whole lot funkier.-DR.FB

People last night were in chat asking where Prince is... well, here's their answer.

He's been lurking around LA this whole time!!

People are SO needy sometimes. When he gets quiet for a while, they ask where he is and what he's doing, etc.
I almost feel like saying "If you're so worried about where he goes all the time, next time you see him, place a GPS tracking dot on him."

Of course now that I've said it, he'll be aware

would it be too much to ask for him to stay on the west coast until I get there this summer?

Sheila and her family performed two slammin' shows last night... The highlight for me was hearing a new Sheila song that will be on the Escovedos upcoming CD -- the song was a return to her funky-latin-pop sound and it went over nice with the crowd... The Twinz were up on stage during the first set and danced their cute little butts off... And although it was sweet for Prince to show, I don't get the point of jamming for less than a minute and bouncing... Alot of folks around me were like "What was the point of that?"

I had a great time last night, especially after Prince showed up (although for just a minute or two) . . . .funny though, by the time I got my camera ready, he was gone, damn!!!

Sheila was jammin' talkin about "I'm not ready to leave" and Peter Michael was seriously off the hook too, but the thrill for me was seeing the whole Escovedo clan, including Sheila E's mother, on stage having a good time jammin'
