I thawt it was said here that the lyrics from "Anna Stesia" stating, "Gregory looks just like a ghost, and then a beautiful girl the most," referred to P's deceased son.

But Anna Stesia was released in 1988....& Gregory was not born till 1998??

This song more than any continues to send shivers down my spine. It's very rare for Prince to lay his emotions out so openly or genuinely.

I've heard the drug story before regarding this song/the Lovesexy album. But honestly, ecstacy should NOT produce a "spiritual awakening" sensation. There's a couple possibilties here.

-He was knowingly doing a drug other than E or along with the E. LSD? Salvia?

-the E was tainted with something else

-he was given or sold something other than E under the pretense of it being ecstacy. This one happens all the time. Some dealers are assholes and will purposely give you the wrong substance just to fuck with you.

I thought 'a beautiful girl the most' was referencing Anna Garcia.

Though the line that the 'beautiful girl' says according to the song is a
direct reference to what Ingrid Chavez allegedly said to Prince, which prompted
him to reconsider releasing the black album.
