SNL

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Just finished watching The Time on a SNL re-run. Was wondering if Prince ever performed on the show. If he did, what did he sing?

Yes he did. He's been on there twice. The first time was in 1981 and he was singing Party Up. The second time was on there 15th Anniversary show where he sang Electric Chair. That was a good performance. I heard that he was supposed to perform again in 1995 but he cancelled it for some reason. Hope this answers your question
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

He tore it up when he did Partyup. And he knocked the mic down when he left the stage... what a bad-ass. Who hosted? I haven't seen the re-run for a while.

Charlene Tilton was the Host in 1981. She played Lucy Ewing on Dallas.

Just downloaded the clip for electric chair the other day, from kazaa. Not a bad clip. I've seen the party up one as well, very young and raw, i don't think the crowd knew what was going on???

If you mean the one with The Time, it was hosted by George Steinbrenner. It was 1990.
