think Prince will do an album this year. I think he will because he's come out with an album almost every year of his career. Why would '08 be any different? Unless he decides not to deliberately because it's his 50th which he could very well do. As in "It's my 50th, so I can't do anything this year". Personal opinions, don't kill me.....

He'll release an album with a gold cover and some cliched title like "Half Centennial". It will contain his best unrecorded tracks and lift him back into mainstream prominence.

Prince has been at the Grammy's and now had the Oscar party...Someone that stays busy, probably has a calendar full for the year already..

This year is a celebration...I believe Prince will release something even if it isn't until the fall.

I'm all open for the possibility that he will. I assume that why he's spent very little time at the events where he was nominated for awards.

I can picture him just hanging around Paisley Park and working out all kinds of different songs for this new project.

Whether or not he releases it this year, I can't say
I'm just as open for him not releasing an album.
This is only because I've got enough relatively new music to keep me busy for quite a while

Though... he may wait a year to release this one. I get a feeling that he'll be working extra hard on this particular one and more time usually results in a better project

It maybe his 50th birthday, which he is likely to ignore, but it is his 30th year officially in the music biz, and with the recent concert announcements, I think we can expect an action packed year

I don't know if he will release an album this year, but I expect some kind of action from the Prince camp in April/May. (That's just a prediction and I've been pretty close in the past about making predictions of new activity in the Prince camp.)

i predict he may release and album but won't do any of those songs live ..oh wait didn't he pretty much do that 4 the last 10 years?

Who knows but one thing is sure. He's always recording so anything is possible.

I think he will....maybe later in the year! He'll do some gigs in Europe this summer then come home to release a new CD...I hope
