Maybe Wendy and Lisa was getting back at Prince and giving him crap for NOT giving them any credit like for "Mountains" as a example(and songs they DID help contribute to). I mean think about this for a second here, honestly, would YOU give a person your best songs/works and not want to get credit for them? IMHO, HELL NO! Which is why I think they gave him crap in the first place they KNEW they prolly would NOT get credit for it in the end just like the time before. And they still didnt get credit for PE on the credits(not counting for "thank you Wendy&Lisa, and Sheila on one of the websites that was advertizing it) but that was ALL I seen the credits GIVEN to W&L.

But as for the reunion tour NO I dont want to see it happen. I think they are doing just fine on their own way. Sure its nice to see them get together ONCE IN A WHILE but not tour, IMHO, I dont think it would work out. As much as I love that era I vote a big NO on this.

The Revolution is one of the biggest, most bad-ass funk groups in the history of music. The band stands tall in history along with P-funk, Booker T. & The MGs, Sly & The Family Stone , The JB's etc. Prince made his best music with this group.
I like things not to be perfect, because the music gets boring when everything is equally smooth & tight. I think music should be like the human voice. Bobby Z. just does his job and does it very well, although I like Sheila E. better (especially on the SOTT tour). John Blackwell kicked ass too. All the bassplayers have been great in my opinion, but again: Brown Mark could've played with Prince forever. Renato Neto is a boring player with a cheesy taste, and he never does anything you wouldnt expect in comparison to the more experimental Lisa. Matt Fink isnt called the Dr. for nothing: the guy is incredibly technical and funky. Wendy is an terrific rhythm guitarist with her very own style & personality. Actually, that's what I miss with the NPG: a style of their own & personality. I also miss the rawness in the NPG, that the Revolution had. Wendy & Lisa also helped Prince move in interesting & different directions (helped him discover psychedelia & suspended chords for example). So did Eric Leeds (he hipped him to jazz!).

Prince's baddest live shows were in the 80s, his most creative years.
He was really breaking ground with this band back then, although he still did almost everything by himself.

that wasn't a collaboration. that was a prince album. don't throw that crap at wendy and lisa.

go listen to some Edith Funker for an idea of a true collaboration w/ wendy and lisa. Eryka Badu seems to be enjoying their mojo.

I know that's not gonna do much to win this debate, but seriously, they did.

I ain't gonna front, the SOTT/Lovesexy band was great too, but there was something very harmonious about The Revolution.

Prince probably could've kept them around. He was probably just being a selfish one-man army; on top of that we can't forget his bitter break-up with Susannah.

i'm not nostalgic ,as a matter of fact i always liked npg more then the revolution.
i know prince moved on so was wendy and lisa and brown mark ,bobby,dr fink.
but wouldn't it be great for that ansamble to do a reunion album and tour so we can hear where they are now music wise.

i mean the revolution sound came a long way from cold electro funk rock to the organic soulful jazzy parade sound in just 3 years.

cream reunited after 37 years of not playing together, led zeppelin also, many other bands so why not the revolution.

p.s.
in the year 2000 during celebration prince jammed with the revolution(minus wendy and lisa) on only one song "america" and prince was very rude to bobby z when he missed kick drum.

I think it would be great and especially if they all put out an album together.

I don't want Prince and the Revolution to reunite. What the band had back in the 80s was magic but that was then this is now. However I would like to see more of Prince and Wendy and Lisa collaboration since they are the only ones he somewhat of Revolution that he keeps in touch with.

Beside all the members are sucessfully doing their own projects and have different lifestyles as well so I just don't see it happen.

revolution rocked very hard as a matter of fact.
people have problems accept that fact becaue of the prominent use of drum machine
lets go crazy is pop rock
computer blue is funk hard rocking hybrid they rocked on this one on live shows.
darling nikki is pure dirty rocker.

revolution had that clumsy rock feeling that was very raw, they only lost that feelin during parede era only to fit into soul revue band prince wanted them to be.

prince made tons of rock songs after the revolution but they were often too polished in studio and too perfect to be rock music.
rock music always needed that raw element to be rock.rock was never meant to be perfect.
