"Happy Feet" a very Princely movie

Just watched "Happy Feet" on DVD for the first time. Quite a triumph! A four star movie.

And, also a very Princely movie.

I always knew "Kiss" and "The Song of the Heart" were in the movie, but I never realized just how prominently "Kiss" is feature in the "ouvre" of the movie; it's a very integral piece.

And of course the movie closes featuring "Song of the Heart" with a little showcase for it.

Of course, the envirnontmentally conscious theme ring with all things Prince.

I imagine, but I don't know, that "Kiss" was used before Prince actually got involved? Anyone know the story?

I do remember reading that Prince initially declined when asked if the they could use "Kiss", however WB persisted and allowed him a private screening to convince him that the song was used in an appropriate and positive context. Apparently he was thrilled with the screening and recorded "Song Of The Heart" shortly after - another one of his infamous intuitive 'recorded-it-in-less-than-a-day' things. Sorry, can't remember the source.

I've literally watched this movie dozens of times while babysitting dancing jig dancing jig And everytime I see something I've missed while watching it before.
Really a fun and educational show, packaged with beautiful settings and a great story line.

Moronic environmental propoganda.
