...which songs do you use?

I usually use Endorphinmachine (I use it with nu-metal/modern rock fans)

The Cross (the classic rock fans)

When doves cry, Kiss, Cream (the pop fans)

depends on who they are really but i can't turn anyone into a prince fan, just get them to listen to it instead of making uneducated assumptions about who he is and what his music is about.

If someone is "against" him because of the way he looks, I usually just put the music on while we're hanging out (shuffle play) and just let it go. If something comes up worth commenting on, then I will say something about it. I never try to blatantly "sell Prince".
(Okay, I might occasionally say, "Wanna hear something funky?" )

I've also taken a couple of people to shows- nothing like LIVE PRINCE!!! Only my dumbass EX-fiance couldn't see the point from the second row of a concert!

I think becoming a "fan" is whole different level... but that's another thread.

Most recently it was a young musician of 25 years old...and we sat together through "The Rainbow Children." In the past if girlfriends were over I would try to play a song from each cd as the years went on...as long as I had the time...
Or I would play songs they knew...such as , "Nothing Compares 2 U," or "Betcha By Golly."

My youngest is a pseudo fan and I think I sent her subliminal messages. She had to listen to alot of Prince's music. She likes Purple Rain too (edited of course she's 9)

Basically anything hard hitting. Prince does 'hard hitting' music better than his peers ever did.
