Hasn't Prince been using the 'Symbol' since atleast 1983??? It's all over the 1999 era but I think I have seen it somewhere in pictures around the Controversy era too.

Back in 1983,
I used to consider myself as sort of a symbol of justice.
Nowadays,
I just sit around & org all day long.
I just don't care anymore.

What about in UTCM? I swear there's a 'shadow' of the symbol on the bedroom wall - in the scene where Christopher's been out all night with Mary Sharon, and he and Jerome are in the bedroom arguing, Jerome says "You dogged me, you got laid!" and behind him on the wall, at the top, is a symbol!!

Unless, it's just a complete coincidence or I'm now seeing things that don't exist

I think ideas come to Prince but he doesn't put them out to the public right away, like the symbol thing.
